Ticket Galaxy Sends Staff To Play Basketball At XL Center

Recently Ticket Galaxy had the opportunity to send some of our staff to the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut to play a few pick-up games of Basketball. They divided themselves into three teams with team captains chosen according to height. Once the captains were selected, teams were chosen gym class style.  

Ticket Galaxy was granted this opportunity due to a partnership with the XL Center. Rob coordinated the outing and spoke highly of the opportunity.

“It is a great and unique experience to be able to get away from the office setting for a bit and have the honor of playing basketball on the same court that some of UConn’s greatest have played on. It’s an awesome work perk, and a cool benefit from our partnership with the XL Center. We appreciate working with them, and look forward to participating again next year.”

To capture the fun, Ticket Galaxy also sent out staff members to photograph the game. Ryan said, “it was good to see the guys enjoying a few friendly pick-up games, we’re usually all working so it’s a nice change of pace. I got to be a nerd and snap some photos of them playing under the LED signage with our Ticket Galaxy branding so it best of both worlds as a Designer“.

The XL Center splits both the men and women’s basketball seasons for the University of Connecticut with Gampel Pavilion located on UCONN’s campus in Storrs. You can also catch The Hartford Wolf Pack, a hockey team part of the American Hockey League there as well as many concerts and special events.
