![]() English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced a tour of US arenas in support of his latest album, Divide. The tour starts in late June and runs until early October. Sheeran recently made history by being the first artist to ever have two singles simultaneously debut in the Billboard Top 10. “Shape of You,” entered at number one while “Castle on the Hill” came in a number six. In fact, due to the popularity of Divide, which recently topped one billion views on YouTube, all of the album’s 16 tracks are currently in the Top 40 Singles chart. Sheeran’s ranking has drawn the ire of Justin Hawkins, frontman of popular early 2000’s rockers, The Darkness. “You can’t have 16 singles off one albums,” Hawkings told Australia’s Herald Sun. “You should be forced to choose a single.” Divide was released on March 3rd through Asylum Records and topped the charts in 14 countries.
