The 2017 iHeart Radio nominations were announced today. Drake and The Chainsmokers lead the pack with 12 and 11 nominations respectively. The Chainsmokers get a nod for Song of the Year for “Closer”, their duet with Halsey while Drake is up for Male Artist of the Year. He will go against Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, and Luke Bryan. Luke Bryan is also up for Country Artist of the Year going against his friend, Jason Aldean.  ​

This year there are quite a few new categories added to the show including, Best New Country Artist, Best New Hip-Hop Artist, Best New Pop Artist and Producer of the Year.

There are some “Socially Voted” categories including Best Collaboration, Best Cover Song, Best Song from a Movie and Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell. In this category the Beyhive (Beyoncé fans) will take on the Harmonizers (Fifth Harmony fans), Little Monsters (Lady Gaga fans) and the Britney Army (Britney Spears fans).  Fans can vote for these awards by going to iHeartRadio.com.

The iHeart Radio Awards will take place on Sunday, March 5th at 8pm airing live on TBS, TNT and truTV.
